Steel plate slab wholesaler in Hungary: custom steel plate cutting

Slabbing is a steel-forming process in which steel or aluminum coils of a given width can be cut into plates and sheets of a specific length with the help of steel slab cutting machines.

Our machines can cut to size coated (hot-dip galvanized, electro galvanized, painted, aluzinc, aluminized), cold-rolled, hot-rolled pickled and oiled, as well as aluminum and stainless-steel materials. For example, if a standard-size, pre-cut galvanized sheet does not meet your needs, we can also produce steel sheets in custom lengths on request and on short notice.

The main advantage of custom-cut steel slabs over pre-cut slabs is that there is much less waste generated at the end-use, making it not only an environmentally friendly solution, but also much more cost-effective one.

In 2019, Szűcs Ferrotrade Metal and Steel Wholesaler Ltd. expanded its fleet of machines with a 17 Roll Straightening Machine. In 2021, our fleet was further expanded with a 17+19 Coil Straightening Cutting Machine. With our new machines, we can produce steel slabs of optimal lengths for our customers by cutting to size and minimizing waste during production. With our double section steel straightening production line, we can now produce laser-cut quality steel plates. With this production line, the flatness of the finished product can be up to a third of the tight tolerance of the relevant EN standard.

During the steel forming process, the material may be subjected to mechanical influences that may leave traces on the final product. To prevent this, our 19 Roll Straightening Cutting Machine purchased in 2021 features a 6-Hi cassette leveler, which prevents any marks from being left on the surface during the slabbing process. In addition, in order to further protect the surface of the materials, we can also apply a conventional or even laser foil to the initial sheet roll as required, so that the surface of the raw material is fully protected against various mechanical damages during the slabbing process.
