There are two types of galvanizing processes. Electroplating involves the application of zinc to the steel surface by means of an electric current, while hot-dip galvanizing involves the immersion of steel sheets in molten zinc heated to a temperature above 419,5 °C. During the coating process, the zinc forms a continuous layer on the surface of the steel sheet, making it resistant to corrosive agents such as mist, precipitation, or atmospheric oxygen.
The main applications of galvanized sheets are in the automotive, machinery and packaging industries, but they are also becoming more widely used in the construction industry thanks to the increasing use of plywood in roofing.

The advantages of galvanized steel sheets
Besides aluminum and stainless-steel sheets, galvanized sheets have many advantages and applications.
Corrosion protection. Galvanized steel can withstand harsh environmental conditions over a long period of time, as whatever galvanizing process it undergoes, the galvanizing forms a closed, uniform coating on the product, and the zinc oxide formed on the steel surface prevents rust formation. The lifetime of galvanized steel sheets is about 50 years, but even with more intensive use, it can be at least 20 years without any maintenance.
Mechanical load-bearing capacity. As the base material is steel, galvanized steel is the optimal choice for heavy-duty structures.

Galvanized steel sheet coil (roll) manufacturer in Hungary – Our selection
A galvanized sheet coil (or roll) is effectively a “continuous” galvanized steel sheet produced by welding. It is fed into the zinc bath by a continuous process, where the corresponding layer of galvanized steel is adhered to the steel sheet.
Galvanized steel sheet produced in this way is also sold in coil form by our manufacturing company in Hungary. The advantage of this is that it can be cut to the required size so that the only limit to the possible applications is the width and thickness of the plate. At the end-use, the amount of waste can be greatly reduced, making galvanized steel sheet cut from coils not only a cost-effective, but also an environmentally friendly solution.

Galvanized slit steel strips
Galvanized slit is actually a strip cut from a roll of galvanized sheet metal to certain specifications. The advantage of galvanized steel slits are that they can be tailored more to individual requirements, further reducing costs and waste at the end-use.
